The earliest record of Walter Nevill, a planter, located to date by the author (Peter Neville) is from 1710 when he acquired a 70 acre portion of land called Southampton from Walter Lodge for 2,000 pounds of tobacco (Queen Anne's Co. Land Records. Book 1. Leonard. p. 18). In this record, Walter is recorded as Nowell.
Bridget, was remarried after Walter's death to a blacksmith named William Primrose (?-1745) (MD Calendar of Wills) in 1743. Bridget died in 1748.
